Cambodia Beat The Odds Tour
Upcoming: 7 – 13 June 2025. Limited to 8 groups of travellers
7 days 6 nights, Siem Reap to Phnom Penh.
Visit wildlife sanctuaries and rural communities to witness how endangered animals and impoverished children have, with the help of beautiful human beings, beaten the odds to survive and thrive.
Cambodia is a country of wonder and beauty. With a rich cultural heritage dating back to the Khmer Empire in the 9th century, Cambodia is best known for its ancient temples. A trip to Siem Reap won’t be complete without visiting Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Ta Phrom, but it’s more than the temples that draw us back to this tiny South-East Asian country again and again. It’s the stunning natural landscape, the wildlife sanctuaries, and the amazing work non-profit organisations like Phare Circus and Ponheary Ly Foundation are doing to create opportunities for young adults and impoverished children.
By participating in this tour, you are not just learning about protecting wildlife and vulnerable children. You are helping them beat the odds with your time and tourist dollars. You will learn basic circus skills from the performers at Phare Circus, visit Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity, cook lunch for 200 children at a remote rural primary school, and get a behind-the-scenes look inside the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre and Free The Bears Sun & Moon Bear Sanctuary. Entrance fees that are included in this package will support the work of these organisations. Lunch for 200 children at the primary school will be paid for by Yamayama with the tour package fees. And for every young person aged 16 and below who joins this tour, Yamayama will also donate US$10 a month to the Ponheary Ly Foundation for a year.
Love nature, support the local economy, and make meaningful connections. These are all part of Yamayama’s ethos. Join our Cambodia Beat The Odds Tour today to make a difference!
